jane COOKS LIVE at EVERYWOMAN again!

There is nothing like the precious atmosphere that pervades the room, when women gather together with a united purpose. There is a strength within women, an ability to persist and prevail, until the solution comes. When you get a whole bunch of women together, look out...anything is possible!

Hi Jane,
I was there on the night & brought a friend, we both loved the night. Thanks. I tried your Date, Walnut & Spice cake today. My family have food intolerances to salicylates, amines & glutamates so I had to do a bit of substitution. ie no dates, no walnuts, no spices, no olive oil, no lemon juice but it worked really well with pear & some 5 grain oatmeal, canola & some citric/ascorbic acid 'fakey' juice. I am really grateful to find a "healthy" cake, to use the basic bones. It has been a major frustration on this diet that the recipes (although so welcome because I have had to change almost everything I cook) are often stodgy or overly sweet. Refined sugar is encouraged for kids 'treats' as it doesn't cause behaviour problems in the same way as the additives, salicylates, amines & glutamates (despite popular opinion). However, healthwise I prefer to avoid sugar altogether & I don't think I've seen the word 'wholemeal' in any because some kids react to the bran. So thanks for a cake that has more health benefits than the usual suspects!
Interested in running a series of classes for people with these intolerances?
Again many thanks,
Lauren
