A Taste of Spring and other things!

Goodness me, so much has been happening, it is hard to know where to start! First and foremost, it is most exciting and humbling to report, that the first print run of Naked Food Cookbook is pretty much sold out, just nine months since it was released! Considering the current momentum and interest in the book, we have decided to reprint another run. I have also decided to rebrand at this point, from Jane COOKS to Jane Grover, simply to help finish the ongoing confusion, as to what my name actually is..... Jane Cooks or Jane Grover!?! So Jane Grover it will now be!
Take a moment to have a look at my new website www.janegrover.net created by the very talented Sasha White.
So what's next...well we have now signed distribution agreements in both Australia and New Zealand, meaning that from the beginning of October 2013, Naked Food Cookbook will now be available in all good bookshops within Australia and New Zealand. I'll be continuing to market and promote the book myself with more cooking demonstrations, book talks and signings, travelling to new places to do so for the next three months and then again in the new year, once we return from our coastal road trip, planned for Dec 2013 - Feb 2014.
Next up, as mentioned in my previous post, it was a really wonderful experience to be involved with Silvia Noble, in catering for the KINFOLK The Art of Camp Cooking and Grilling Workshop at The Lost and Found Department's gorgeous, rural property in Ingleside NSW.
The afternoon hosted by Nathan and Sasha White was so enjoyed by all who were fortunate enough to secure a ticket.
The styling was done by Nathan & Sasha White, Tess Guinery, Tracey Berry and Luisa Brimble and of course lots of hard work from property owners Peter & Silvia to ready this special place for the guests.
Thanks also to the incredible talent of Samantha Mackie, her photography is on display in this post.
Here is a little taste of the menu we created:
Corn on the cob grilled on the open fire and served with Pepe Saya hand churned butter.
Sweet Pumpkin and Ginger Soup served with Barambah Organic Yoghurt and home made Rosemary & Kalamata Olive Damper

Pork & Fennel Sausages served with Naked Food Tomato Relish

This was followed by an amazing dessert by the fire;
Home made Raspberry Marshmallow S'more served with The Lost and Found Department Mulled Wine

It is at this very moment I can imagine you are wondering why you missed out on this event....but it is all OK.... as my final bit of news for this post, is to let you know of your next opportunity to join in another wonderful event. A special day to launch The Lost and Found Department's upcoming workshops 2013/2014 hosted by founder Silvia Noble, again at their gorgeous rural property in Ingleside NSW.
A Taste of Spring Open Day
Sunday 29th, September 2013 from 10am - 3pm Cost: $85 per person

Come spend a day at TL+F Headquarters to see why we do what we do and enjoy a taste of just some of the good things we have planned for the year ahead.
The day will include four introductory workshops covering:

*Organic growing - starting your own patch and the importance of soil

*Bees and honey for your backyard

*Keeping hens in an urban yard

*Cooking cheese in our country kitchen
Plus a delicious morning tea and lunch served under the open air tent and everyone will take home a sample of our first honey harvest.
We will also be launching our 2013/14 workshop event calendar and all bookings on the day will receive a special gift.

…and then there is the Pop Up Mini Fete – a very special selection of TL+FD vintage treasures will also be available for purchase.

It will be a day not to be missed or forgotten....a day to enjoy a little slice of country life, just ten minutes drive from the hustle and bustle of Mona Vale or twenty minutes drive from St Ives Village. I'll be there as part of the team, helping with lunch and will also be running the Cooking cheese in our country kitchen workshop on the day.
Places are limited, so to purchase your tickets click here or come visit us at The Beaches Market this Friday 8am - 1pm, Walsh Street, Warriewood.
Hope to see you at 'A Taste of Spring'!
