Kinfolk - Art of Camp Cooking & Grilling Workshop - Sydney

Kinfolk Magazine is all about discovering new ways to cook, make and do! Kinfolk is the lead entertaining magazine for young food enthusiasts and adventure-seekers. It is a blueprint for a balanced, intentional lifestyle.
Magnation says about Kinfolk:
'Rarely have we had a magazine that has generated such an intense amount of interest as Kinfolk. Published out of the USA, it's a part of a new generation of magazines (think: Apartamento, Plant Journal, Collect) that take a familiar subject - in this case, entertaining - and put a new and extraordinary slant on it.'
They say, "Every element of Kinfolk- the features, photography, and general aesthetics - are consistent with the way we feel entertaining should be: simple, uncomplicated, and less contrived. Kinfolk is the marriage of our appreciation for art and design and our love for spending time with family and friends." Consider us sold! 144 pages, offset-printed, perfect bound, full color on uncoated paper. Printed in the USA.'

Why do I tell you about the lovely Kinfolk Magazine, simply because I have the great joy and privilege of being involved in one of their upcoming monthly events, based in Sydney. Teamed up with some very lovely and creative people, Sasha and Nathan White, Luisa Brimble, Silvia Noble, Sam Mackie and Matt Sharp, plus 20 guests who will enjoy a fireside evening at the delightful property that is The Lost & Found Department.

I am more than excited, especially considering we have planned ourselves, to head off for 10 weeks at year's end, on a epic, camping road trip from Sydney to Perth and back! So I am keen to get inspired and get my damper into the camp oven and grilling some Naked Food over an open flame.

'We gather this month to celebrate the age-old tradition of convening around a fire to cook, to relax and to merely shoot the breeze in good company. We invite you to leave behind the frenzy of daily life, and allow an intentional reprieve from busyness and distraction, at least for an evening. Join your local host for a casual, back-to-basics approach to cooking fireside.
We’ll also be making herbal fire-starters for guests to take home.'
